Meet the team…
Thomas Hoksbergen - Founder
After completing my Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Commercial law, I stepped into the world of technology recruitment and haven’t looked back, building a strong network within Software Development, Data, and Infrastructure. I have built and managed multiple teams within these domains in both Auckland and London, whilst always staying hands-on to ensure the best possible service.
The best recruiters have a genuine passion for the domain they operate within, my passion for technology started early on when I was given an old DOS-based computer for my 8th birthday. Although I may not be able to dive into the code base, I’ve enjoyed building a strong high-level understanding of the technology landscape over the years.
When I’m not behind the desk you’ll find me on the course trying to improve my golf game. Two passions I’m looking forward to reviving are kitesurfing and gliding, both keep the heart rate up, almost as much as a candidate considering a counter-offer. Running has become a recent passion and I’m proud to say I’ve completed two marathons, the latest in Holland where I was born.
Caitlin Harvey - Compliance & Operations
I come from a strong academic background, with a Bachelor of Science, a degree in Business, and I am currently in the process of finishing my Bachelor of Law with honours from the University of Auckland. I spent two years in London, where I did a hands-on Compliance Program at a recruitment firm, before becoming a Compliance Officer for a Renewable Energy Consumer Code. My passion for law, compliance, and process improvement ensures that Gambit operates seamlessly, efficiently, and ethically.
I’m blessed to be born a Scots and raised Kiwi meaning I caught the travel bug early on! My greatest travel achievement has been reaching Everest Base Camp in 2018. In my free time, I like to keep creative whether that’s drawing, painting, sewing, or knitting. Fitness is also a priority, I've also completed two marathons and am looking forward to my third!
